If you’ve ever seen an advertisement for Australia featuring an urban beach, chances are it’s Bondi (pronounced “Bond-eye”). This is the most famous beach in the country. As you’d expect of such a hotspot, it’s popular with tourists and Sydney residents. On a hot summer day, the beach can be mobbed with up to 40,000 people.
Most housing here consists of cool art deco apartments, condo towers, and single-family homes. Given its beachside location, this is a costly place to live.
Bondi Beach is popular with expats, surfers, and young professionals, and it has a prominent community of Hasidic Jews.
Bondi Beach Sydney is bordered to the north by North Bondi, on the east by the Tasman Sea, and the south and west by Bondi.
