Waterloo Sydney – is historically a working-class region. Since early 2000s, the region has undergone some degree of gentrification with a rising business district focusing on technology-oriented firms and the development of more green space such as parks.
Many new high-rise developments have popped up over the last 10 years. Their styles of houses include single-level homes and terraces.
It is located south of the CBD and is home to a younger generation and a mix of the SGLBTQI+ community.
Waterloo neighbours Green Square and there is currently development of a metro rail station.
